In June of 1985 six high school friends came together to form what seemed to be “special music” for a local revival service. A service indeed, because that night God ignited a revival fire that still burns more than twenty years later. From then until 1996 these guys traveled at local churches, high schools and other venues while along the way making people notice that they had something to offer. In July of that year others picked up on that by awarding them the winners of Frank Arnold’s Songfest Talent Search held in Jackson, TN. The next year they began working with award winning producer Kevin McManus and Nashville Teleproductions Co. In 1997 they embarked on a new journey that allowed them to take their ministry of music all across the nation as well as some foreign countries. Having been blessed with great charting songs such as “Shoutin’ Singin’ Happy!” , “He Left It All”, “When He Set Me Free” , “Jesus Will Be There” , and the heart challenging ballad “Firmly Committed” they have a message to share of how God transforms our lives in new and astounding ways if we only give Him full control. Currently Four Fold travels as a four part all male Quartet Southern Gospel full time music ministry. They perform with live instruments as well as accompaniment tracks in a high energy spirit filled atmosphere. They are represented by the Riversong Records division of Homeland Entertainment Co. and Rivergate Talent Agency both of Nashville, TN. Starting the group in 1985, founding member Greg Powers, currently sings tenor. He has been a mainstay on stage for more than two decades serving as the group’s emcee, and bass guitarist. Both on and off stage he continues to lead the ministry efforts and is most respected by industry peers as a solid quartet manager. His devotion to the music ministry is the epitome of commitment in an ever changing society. Eric Lipford from Alamo, TN joined the ministry in July 2005 where he remained for over a year until he left to pursue private studies at the University of Tennessee-Martin. He returned in March 2007 to continue his tenure and perform double duties as the groups’ lead vocalist and pianist. He brings dynamic delivery to the vocal arrangements as well as keyboard talents that are seldom paralleled by musicians today. His youthfulness is complemented by his down home sense of humor and humility. Bass singer Aaron Watkins, from Metropolis, IL came aboard in August 2006. Although he is only in his twenties, he brings to the team many years of experience as a quartet singer. With his deep rich voice, he is destined to become a superman of bass singers within our industry today. His commitment to progress is matched only by his heartfelt determination to uplift Christ through music. Most recently, Randy Patton of Kevil, KY joined the team to sing baritone. Randy’s journey of service in ministry began in 1976 as drummer for a local quartet. He soon traded the drumsticks for a microphone where he quickly found his place as a true quartet man. Singing for more than twenty five years, his solid round voice now provides the basis for the unique harmonies of this group, where he continues to fulfill his calling to the ministry.Schedule
